Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2025. Zion Luxury Retreat (“we,” “us”) operates short-term vacation rentals in Colorado City, Arizona, near Zion National Park. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you book, stay, or contact us.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly: name, email, mobile number, billing details, government ID when required, guest count, pet details, messages, and booking preferences. We also receive reservation data from booking channels you use (for example OwnerRez, Vrbo, Airbnb, or Booking.com) and technical data such as IP address and browser type when you use our website or guest trip portal.

How we use information

  • Confirm and manage reservations, payments, and refunds.
  • Send check-in instructions, door codes, house rules, and stay-related support by email or SMS.
  • Provide your secure trip link after booking, where you can view stay details and optional add-ons for your reservation (for example early check-in or late checkout when offered). Those add-ons are part of your stay, not advertising.
  • Respond to questions by email, SMS, phone, or chat.
  • Send one post-stay review request by SMS when you opted in to stay-related texts (no incentive attached).
  • Comply with law, tax, and short-term rental rules in Arizona.

SMS (A2P) — stay-related vs marketing

Stay-related texts (transactional program): booking confirmations, payment receipts, check-in details, door codes, replies to your messages, trip-portal links, optional add-ons tied to your reservation, and one plain review request. Message frequency varies with your stay. You may receive these when you provide a mobile number and opt in on our contact form or during booking.

Marketing texts (separate opt-in only): occasional promotional SMS about future stays or special offers — up to 4 messages per month. We do not treat trip-portal add-ons or stay logistics as marketing.

Email is used for operational stay communication (confirmations, receipts, check-in). Email is not part of our SMS/A2P marketing program unless you separately subscribe to a marketing email list, if we offer one.

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold or rented to third parties for their marketing. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of the program you enrolled in, HELP for help. Consent to marketing texts is not required to book.

Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us operate: payment processing (Stripe), property management (OwnerRez), messaging (Twilio), email delivery, and cloud hosting. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect guests, staff, or property.

Retention & security

We keep booking and communication records as needed for operations, tax, and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize when no longer required. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards; no method is 100% secure.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable law allows. Contact us below. California and other state privacy rights may apply to eligible residents.

Children

Our rentals are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
